When I was eleven years old, my whole world changed. What started as simple doctor visits turned into words no child should ever have to hear: "cancer". After I had a biopsy done, I learned I had Stage 4 Non-Sclerosing Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Although I’m now cancer-free, that experience never really leaves you. It shapes the way you see the world, what matters, what doesn’t, and how powerful kindness can be when everything else feels uncertain. The love and hope people showed me during that time inspired me to create the Let There Be Light Project, so I can do the same for other kids walking the same hard road. Every present, every donation, every act of kindness spreads a little light to children and families who need it most because I know firsthand how even the smallest bit of light can change everything.
